Aunt Polly is also a extremely strange but fascinating character as well. She has a side to her where she extremely dislikes Tom and wants to always hurt him, but she has another side where she is a nice and sweet old lady. When she came outside to see the work "Tom" had done she was so amazed that she went inside and gave him a special apple to have. When the sugar bowl broke, she came to Tom and started hurting him, although it was his brother, Sid, who broke the bowl. When Tom told her that it was Sid and she had cooled down a little bit, she was not apologetic at all, in fact she made a smirky comment about it acting that it was Toms fault for her hurting him. I really like this book because it keeps you wondering what is going to happen next and what sneaky stuff is Tom going to do. I love how Tom can get out of stuff by his sneakiness.
