After hearing the trial, I believe that Bobby Peterson's gun should be included in the trial because the house was within the area of the arrest. I was thinking that the weapon should not have been in the trial until William brought up the point that I mentioned before, the house was within the area of arrest. At the beginning I felt that the prosecution sides arguements were a lot stronger, but I did not think they really attacked the point of themselves not having the search warrant. In Will's closing, he mention that Peterson opened the door and ran, which can only mean he did something wrong and he was trying to get away. Although this is not about the fact that the seizure of gun, Will also brought up the important point that the gun was hidden in the washing machine, which is not a normal spot to keep a gun. From the defense side, I did not think that there was that much information about the 4th amendment except when James said that she said that she did not allow police to search her house. Overall I have to believe that the seized gun can be allowed in the search.
